Little Venice takes its name from the distinctive network of canals that meet in this part of London. The name is traditionally associated with poet Robert Browning, who used the term to describe the area around the junction where the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal meets the Regent’s Canal. Today, the name Little Venice is commonly used for the wider neighbourhood at the southern end of Maida Vale, which has developed into one of London’s most attractive waterside areas.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the canal towpaths, admire the colourful narrowboats, or relax at one of the many cafés, restaurants, and bars overlooking the waterways. Little Venice is also well positioned for exploring several other London attractions. Regent’s Park, ZSL London Zoo, and Madame Tussauds are all within convenient reach, allowing visitors to combine a peaceful canal walk with some of the capital’s best-known sights.
